Careless Parking, Dozens Of Luxury Cars On Jalan Gunawarman Transported By Officers
JAKARTA - A total of 12 luxury cars on Jalan Gunawarman, Jalan Suryo, Jalan Wolter Monginsidi and Jalan Senopati, South Jakarta were towed by joint TNI-Polri officers to the South Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) because they were parked on the shoulder of the road.
The Head of the Subunit for Traffic in Turjawali, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, AKP Budi Harsono, said that the 12 vehicles currently being towed were four-wheeled vehicles that violated regulations.
"In the morning there are 8 (vehicles), in the afternoon 4. The total is 12 vehicles by evening. All are four wheels," Budi told reporters on Jalan Wolter Mongsidi, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 6.
Budi also explained that before taking action against the vehicle, his party had given tolerance by waiting for the owner of the vehicle for up to 10 minutes.
"Let's ask first, who does this belong to, the security guard or parking attendant, please move it, we will wait 5-10 minutes, there is no owner, then we will tow it," he said.
"(If the owner shows up when he wants to be towed) If it's been towed, we'll transport it and tell it to follow (the owner)," he added.
Budi also explained that the sanctions for towed vehicles were handed over to the Transportation Service.
"Later at the Transportation Agency, what is the name of the BAP, later the payment will be made at Bank DKI. I don't know about me, the matter will be with the Transportation Agency," he said.
When asked how long his party would take action for vehicles parked carelessly, Budhi said there was no time limit. Budi admitted that he did not know further because he was still waiting for orders from the Metro Jaya Police Chief.
"Until an undetermined time, waiting for orders from the leadership of the Metro Jaya Police Chief," he concluded.
