Annoyed That They Can't Get Security Allowance, Two Men In Tangerang Persecuted Neighbors

TANGERANG - Two of the perpetrators of the beating, AY (41) and AS (36) were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Rajeg Police in Sukasari Village, Rajeg District, Tangerang Regency. The resident of Rajeg Subdistrict, Tangerang Regency, was arrested by four members without a fight.

The Chief of the Rajeg Police, Commissioner Adjutant of Police Nurjaman, said that AY and AS were arrested in connection with a beating that started with extortion.

"The perpetrator was arrested in connection with the beating incident reported by the victim (MR) resident of Griya Artha Housing, Rajeg District on Friday (17 June)," said Nurjaman in a written statement, Monday, July 4.

Nurjaman explained that when the incident occurred, the victim's initials MR was about to go to work. Arriving at the scene of the incident, the victim was stopped by one of the suspects (AY), who asked the victim regarding the security money for the housing where the victim lived and related to the closing of the housing portal when (AY) was carrying out the circumcision party. However, continued Nurjaman, the victim refused the request of the two perpetrators.

"Because the suspect felt hurt towards the victim, the perpetrator (AY) kicked the victim's right leg then the perpetrator (AS) also kicked the victim's right leg. As a result of this incident the victim suffered bruises and swelling on the lower right leg," explained Nurjaman.

Not accepting this treatment, the victim reported to the Rajeg Police.

"After receiving the report, the Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation into the perpetrator. Then they arrested the perpetrator in Sukasari Village, Rajeg district, Tangerang Regency", explained Nurjaman.

For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
