COVID-19 Update As Of 2 July: 1,729 Positive Cases Found

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 63,226 specimens were examined with the results of 1,729 people being confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,092,303 people and active cases have not increased or decreased or remain at 16,915 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, July 2.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,789 cases, bringing the total to 5,918,643 people recovered. Then, there were 5 positive confirmed cases and a total of 156,745 people.

Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the highest new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 983 cases. This brings the total to 1,271,828 cases. Followed by West Java with 347 new cases. Then, Banten with the addition of 213 cases per day.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today is in DKI Jakarta with the addition of 1,300 recovered cases.

Then, West Java with an additional 202 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 112 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 94 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens so far has reached 100,962,881.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people for today is 3.91 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,765 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,557,401 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,111,754 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 50,898,137 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
