Gas Explosion Damages Villa Restaurant In North Kuta Bali, Security Officer Injured
BADUNG - A gas explosion caused the restaurant in Lalasa Villas, Jalan Pemelisan Agung, Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, to fall apart.
"It is suspected that this was caused by a leak in the gas pipe leading to the stove in the restaurant's kitchen," said Head of Public Relations of the Badung Police, Iptu I Ketut Sudana, Thursday, June 30.
According to witnesses, the explosion occurred at around 05.30 WITA. This gas explosion gave rise to bursts of fire. The restaurant was in disarray, while a security guard was injured in the arm.
"At that time the victim (directly) was delivered and is being treated at the Sanglah Hospital Denpasar," he added.
At 07.15 WITA, a fire engine arrived at the location. By then, the fire was out.
"As a result of this incident, there have been damage to the kitchen area, restaurant area, lobby area of Lalasa Villas and a security wound to the arm named Mr. Dede. The loss is around Rp. 300 million," said Iptu Sudana.
