Collaboration With Technology Companies In Solo, Gibran Presents Easy Ways To Pay PBB, PKB And PDAM
SOLO - The Solo City Government is collaborating with two technology companies to present the first drive-thru tax payment service to make it easier for people to pay taxes in a short time and without having to leave their vehicle.
Tax payments with this method prioritize payments using electronic wallets to encourage digital adaptation in the community.
"Currently there are public service malls, there are online services as well. This is another drive-thru service. The point is to make it easier for residents to make tax transactions and others, especially for motor vehicle tax notices and people who still need physical evidence when pay online PBB and PDAM. We will discuss the addition of locations and additional services in the future," said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka quoted in his press statement, Antara, Thursday, June 30.
The tax services that can be paid through this system are Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB), Land and Building Tax (PBB), and Perumda Drinking Water (PDAM).
Later, the public can pay using the Regional Government Transaction Electronification (ETP) system.
The innovation by utilizing digital services is in line with the city government's plan to continue to encourage increased regional revenue from the tax sector, and to make Surakarta a smart city.
Of course, the presence of increasingly digital services has also been supported by the achievement of digitization in various economic activities and transactions in the city of Surakarta, which is among the highest in Indonesia.
Bank Indonesia (BI) even recorded an achievement of the Surakarta Regional Government Transaction Electronification Index (IETPD) of 90 percent in the second quarter of 2021.
This achievement places Bengawan Solo City in seventh place nationally and first in the province for IETPD achievements.
The two technology companies in question are Grab and OVO, both of whom have agreed to encourage the growth and development of the digital economy in Surakarta and also the country so that they can achieve the digital transformation target in Indonesia.
This encouragement is proof that all parties are pushing for the acceleration of recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic so that Indonesia can continue to grow, especially in terms of economic and social conditions.
