Two Witnesses Alleged Bribery And Gratification At The Central Mamberamo Regency Government Abstain From The Call Of The KPK

JAKARTA - Two witnesses to allegations of bribery and gratification in the Central Mamberamo Regency Government, Papua have failed to comply with the summons from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). They should have been examined on Monday, 27 June.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said the two witnesses did not provide any confirmation regarding his absence. The witnesses examined were a priest named Andreas Kostan Pagawak and Slamet who was the driver.

"The two witnesses were absent and without confirmation," Ali told reporters in his written statement, Tuesday, June 28.

Next, the anti-corruption commission will summon the two witnesses. However, it has not been announced when the recall will be.

"In the near future, the investigation team will immediately schedule the next summons," said Ali.

The KPK previously also summoned a suspect in this case. However, he was not present because he was following an internal agenda at the Central Mamberamo Regency Government, Papua.

As for the suspect in question, the anti-corruption commission has not yet explained. This is because the announcement of the suspect as well as the construction of the alleged bribery and gratification will only be delivered after the forced detention is carried out.

The KPK asked all parties summoned to cooperate. Their information is needed so that this case becomes clearer and can be thoroughly investigated.
