Persib Management Examined Police Investigate The Death Of Two Bobotoh In GBLA
JAKARTA - Bandung Polrestabes summoned Persib Bandung management officials regarding the case of the deaths of two bodies due to crowding at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium.
Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Aswin Sipayung said the summons was an investigation stage in the case. The police suspect that there was an element of negligence that caused the two Bobotohs to die.
"We have entered the investigation stage, we have summoned Persib Bandung management officials," said Aswin at the Bandung Police Station, West Java, Monday, June 27, quoted from Antara.
The police also began to examine a number of parties in the investigation of the case. Among them were a number of witnesses at the location, stadium visitors, and members of the police who were also on duty.
"So we are still in the process of examining it," said Aswin.
"We ask for prayers for all residents of Bandung, especially residents of West Java, so that the investigation process can be completed quickly," he added.
Previously, two Bobotoh from Cibaduyut, Bandung City and Bogor, died because they were suspected of being overcrowded when they were about to watch the Persib Bandung match against Persebaya Surabaya, Friday (17/6).
The match which took place that night was packed with tens of thousands of Bobotoh and Persebaya team supporters. Initially the stadium was planned to only be filled by 15,000 people, but in fact when the match was running there were around 38 thousand spectators in attendance.
In addition, a number of stadium entrances are also very crowded with spectators who want to enter. As a result, a number of doors were broken, including the VIP door to the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium.
