The Perpetrator Who Burned The House In Cipinang Muara Turned Out To Be A Singer, Heartache, Shouted Loudly While Playing Guitar
JAKARTA – Nardi, the arsonist on a resident's house on Jalan Cipinang Muara 1, RT 007/014, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, is officially a suspect. He is languishing in the detention cell of the Jatinegara Police. It is known that Nardi's motive for burning the victim's house was out of revenge.
Based on the results of the investigation team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jatinegara Police, the suspect Nardi was determined to burn a house because of a revenge motive.
The father of one child admitted that he was annoyed because he did not accept being reprimanded by the landlord for making noise while playing guitar while singing every night, from 23.00 - 24.00 WIB.
"Possibly, the suspicion is like that (revenge). Because you don't accept being reminded, you are reprimanded. You have been reprimanded many times," said Jatinegara Police Chief Kompol E. Raharja to VOI, Monday, June 27.
Prior to the arson incident, said Kompol E. Raharja, the owner of the rented house identified as Marpuah reprimanded the perpetrator for disturbing the comfort.
"The suspect made noise during the break. The suspect was often reminded but not heeded," he said.
Because he did not accept it, the suspect, who is a street performer every day, finally decided to burn down the victim's house.
"The suspect did not accept the warning and ended up setting fire to it. So a cloth or scarf to carry the child (the perpetrator) was burned to start the fire," he said.
The police chief explained that the perpetrator set fire to the house he was living in. He burned because he was annoyed with the owner of the house he lived in. The burning of the house is carried out when the owner of the house is resting.
"The rent that was burned belonged to the suspect. Only one room (which was burned), where the perpetrator lived. So his own house was burned," he said.
As a result of his actions, Nardi was charged with Article 187 of the Criminal Code paragraph 1 which carries a maximum threat of 12 years in prison.
