COVID-19 Update As Of June 26: 1,726 Specimens Tested Positive, Active Cases Increase To 14,516
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. From the examination of 50,885 specimens, 1,726 specimens tested positive for COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,080,451 people and active cases have increased by 548 to 14,516 cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, June 26.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,175 people, bringing the total to 5,909,218 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 3 cases and totaled 156,717 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,055 cases and a total of 1,265,268 cases. Followed by West Java which has 262 new cases with a total of 1,110,656 cases. Banten has 223 new cases and a total of 296,211 cases. East Java has 74 new cases and a total of 577,682 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 691 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 248 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 99 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 72 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 100,499,919.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.35 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 2,047 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently there are 201,366,276 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,823,775 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 50,027,651. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
