Palu KPU Names The Number Of Voters In The 2024 Elections As Many As 251,636 People
SULTENG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Palu City has determined that the sustainable voter list (DPB) for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) is 251,636 people.
Palu City KPU chairman Agussalim Wahid detailed that the number was 123,426 women and 128,210 men.
"Those who will exercise their right to vote in 699 polling stations (TPS) in 46 urban villages and eight sub-districts," said Agussalim in Palu, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng), quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 26.
The Palu City DPB was determined after the Palu City KPU held a coordination meeting on the DPB update recapitulation in Palu City, Friday, June 24.
The meeting was attended and agreed by stakeholders through the signing of the minutes of the election supervisory body (Bawaslu), the police, the Indonesian National Army (TNI), the population and civil registration service (dukcapil), and representatives of political parties.
In the coordination meeting, the Palu City KPU received a number of inputs and immediately followed up on them so that DPB was accurate and free from errors, among others, intensely encouraging residents who were included in the DPB to orderly record electronic identity cards (KTP).
It must be anticipated if there are voters who record their e-KTP repeatedly so that it can confuse the accuracy of DPB.
"Furthermore, we encourage residents who have entered the voting age and will record their e-KTPs to record them according to their domicile," he said.
He said his party was also anticipating voters registered in correctional institutions (lapas) and state detention centers (rutan) so as not to accidentally enter detainees who are domiciled outside the city of Palu.
