Hasan Hasbi Bets Anies Won't Get A Presidential Candidate Ticket From The Party, NasDem: Haven't Moved On Yet?

JAKARTA - The founder of the Cyrus Network survey institute, Hasan Hasbi, admitted that he was willing to bet that Anies Baswedan would not get a ticket as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

In response to this, the NasDem Party politician, Bestari Barus, said he was surprised. As a political observer, according to Bestari, Hasan seems to have no competence.

Bestari views Hasan as not accepting that Anies' name is skyrocketing in several presidential candidate survey results. Given, continued Bestari, Hasan was known as a supporter of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) in the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"What he said was actually incompetent with his predicate as an observer. Hasan Hasbi was well known for who he worked for. Still haven't moved on or what?" Bestari said when contacted, Friday, June 24.

Anies' name is one of the presidential candidates that will be carried by the NasDem Party. In fact, he got the highest electability from the proposal of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) throughout Indonesia.

From this, Bestari assumes that Hasan does not understand the decision-making process in the NasDem party, as well as the lobbying towards the formation of a coalition of political parties. He also emphasized that the presidential election takes time.

"Of course he doesn't understand, so he can talk. Anies won't get a ticket. The other (characters) also won't get tickets until now. But wait for the time. Be patient," said Bestari.

"So, Hasan Hasbi should learn more about his position as an enlightening observer. Not with betting styles," he continued.

Previously, the founder of Cyrus Network Hasan Hasbi saw that the chances of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to become a presidential candidate were very small. In fact, he was willing to bet on Alphard's car on this prediction.

"If you want to be a presidential candidate, it is difficult. From all sides, the mathematical calculations are difficult. But if you become a cawapres it is still possible. You can bet, Alphard bet," Hasan said in a political discussion some time ago.

Hasan sees, based on the current coalition estimates, Anies, who does not have a party, will find it difficult to get a ticket to carry the presidential candidate. Anies' opportunity, according to him, could only be a candidate for vice president.

"Right now, it's Nasdem and PKS. In my opinion, PKS and Nasdem can only propose a vice presidential candidate, not a presidential candidate," he said.
