SURABAYA - Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi instructed all Heads of Regional Apparatus (PD), Camat and Lurah, to open direct communication with residents in their respective working areas. Eri hopes that the community will directly submit their input, complaints, and problems for further action.
"So starting Friday, the Lurah, Camat and Head of PD open their rooms to meet residents directly. So residents can ask the Lurah, Camat, and Head of PD, if there are problems that have not been handled," said Eri Cahyadi in Surabaya, Friday, June 24. .
Eri Cahyadi requires all Heads of PD, Camat, and Lurah to meet with the community to listen to existing problems or complaints. This instruction is valid every Friday from 13.00-16.00 WIB.
If there are problems that need to be coordinated with other PDs and require time, a one week limit is given.
This means that problems submitted by residents through the Lurah or Camat will be entered into the WargaKu application and connected to the related PD. However, if the problem is not resolved within seven days, the report will be tiered up to the leadership.
"I hope that any problems that arise don't go directly to the mayor. Tell them first to the Lurah, Camat and Head of Service. For what reason, they are an extension of the Surabaya City Government to provide the best for the community in the Lurah, Camat and Head of Service," he said.
Eri Cahyadi emphasized that when within one week the problems submitted by residents have not been resolved or handled, the report will automatically go up to the mayor. Through such a tiered system, residents are expected to participate in evaluating and evaluating the performance of Surabaya City Government officials.
"If it turns out that for a week there has been no action, there has been no improvement, I just met with the community, so that I was assisted by the community to give an assessment to the Lurah, Camat or Head of Service whether he could work for the people or not," he said.
Eri Cahyadi wants residents to be involved in direct supervision of the performance of city government officials. Therefore, before the report or complaint goes up to the mayor, residents are expected to first convey the problem to the Lurah, Camat and the related Head of PD.
"Fainsyaallah, with direct supervision, there must be a follow-up. If there is no follow-up, it means that the ability of the Lurah, Camat, Head of Service is not for the benefit of the people. It means that there must be an evaluation," he said.
