KPU Opens Access For 2024 Election Sipol For Political Parties Starting Today
JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) has officially opened access to the Political Party Information System (Sipol) for political parties as candidates for the 2024 General Election today.
Sipol is a system to facilitate political parties in administering the registration, verification, and determination of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election.
In this case, political parties will enter data online on the official website sipol.kpu.go.id related to required documents such as political party profiles, party membership, party management, to permanent party offices.
"Today, on June 24 until the end of the registration period, we will begin to open access to Sipol as a tool in the registration process and verification of political parties," said KPU Commissioner Idham Holik at the KPU RI office, Friday, June 24.
The KPU gives the opportunity for political parties to access political parties from today until the registration period for political parties closes on August 14, 2022. Meanwhile, the opening of registration for political parties itself is scheduled to start on August 1 for 14 days.
Idham said that Sipol had been used since the 2019 election. He claimed that currently the Sipol system had been updated to minimize obstacles that had occurred in previous elections.
In addition, the KPU also cooperates with 9 ministries/institutions related to information technology, including the National Police and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) to monitor the development of the Sipol system.
"Regarding Sipol security, the KPU currently has cooperation with ministries/institutions related to information technology, and we have formed a task force to monitor and monitor developments at the KPU, especially related to IT," said Idham.
Furthermore, Idham said that political parties participating in the 2019 election no longer needed to input data from the beginning in the Sipol. They, said Idham, only need to migrate and update data.
"The RI KPU's policy allows political parties that have participated in the 2019 election to request data migration services. This data migration process must begin with the submission of an application letter to the Indonesian KPU regarding data migration," he added.
