Susi Air Plane Crash Incident In Timika Papua, 3 Passengers And Pilot Broken Legs

JAKARTA - The Papuan Regional Police stated that all passengers and pilots managed to survive the crash of the Susi Air plane. However, four of them had fractures.

"From the data, 3 passengers and the pilot suffered a broken leg," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in his statement, Thursday, June 23.

Meanwhile, the rest are said to have suffered injuries. But no further details were given to the injuries they suffered, which were categorized as light or heavy.

So far, it has only been emphasized that the passengers and pilot have been successfully evacuated. They have now been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

"Now he has received treatment at the Mimika District Hospital," said Kamal.

The Susi Air Pilatus Porter PC-6 aircraft with flight number PK BVM in Timika, Papua, lost contact and eventually crashed.

The incident started from the plane with the pilot Capt. Doyle Peter took off from Timika Airport at 05.34 WIT to Duma. The plan is for the plane to arrive at Duma Airport at 05:54 WIT.

However, Basarnas received a report that the plane had lost contact. The search process was carried out until finally the plane's whereabouts were found at coordinates 04°02' 54.00"S / 136° 43' 0600E, a distance of 38 Miles, radial 343.81° from Timika.
