PDIP Opens Opportunities For Coalition With Gerindra And PKB, Prabowo's Subordinates Call It Still Dynamic, Just Flowing
JAKARTA - The Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad responded to the statement by the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, who opened up the opportunity to form a coalition with her party and PKB.
Dasco said Gerindra would welcome the PDIP's willingness to jointly carry the same presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election.
"Basically, the Gerindra Party accepts it well. From many parties, or several parties, we also want to work together in facing the election," said Sufmi Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Wednesday, June 22.
According to the Deputy Speaker of the DPR, elections should be faced together for the good of the nation and state. Regarding the certainty of the coalition with the PDIP, Dasco believes that Gerindra is just going with the flow. This includes other political parties.
"We'll follow it, just flow. The name is also dynamics will still continue and the situation before the election will usually be full of dynamics. Yes, we will follow it," said Dasco.
"Anyway, we are happy if we can cooperate with many parties in facing the election," he added.
Previously, PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani responded to questions about her party's chances of forming a coalition with the Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB).
Puan stated that PDIP did not rule out the possibility to cooperate with the two parties in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) and Presidential Election (Pilpres).
"Yes, it's possible," said Puan in response to reporters' statements on the sidelines of the PDIP second National Working Meeting, at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 21.
The chairman of the DPR RI then linked the message from the PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri, that the party bearing the white muzzle symbol could not be alone in building Indonesia.
"Mrs. Ketum said that building Indonesia cannot be done alone, we must work together," said Puan.
