COVID-19 Update As Of June 21: 1,678 New Cases Appear, Active Cases Increase To 10,095
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 91,100 specimens were examined with the results of 1,678 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,070,933 and active cases have increased by 996 to 10,095 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, June 21.
Today's recovered cases increased by 667 cases, bringing the total to 5,904,138 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that five people died and a total of 156,700 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 953 cases and a total of 1,259,618 cases. Followed by West Java with 291 new cases with a total of 1,109,114 cases. Banten has 213 new cases and a total of 295,063 cases. Then, East Java with 85 new cases and a total of 577,228 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 334 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 127 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 92 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 62 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 100,147,276.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,411 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
