Inspector General Of Police. Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga As Head Of West Papua Police

MANOKWARI - The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, appointed the former Chief of the National Police Food Task Force Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga as the West Papuan Police Chief, replacing Inspector General of Police Tornagogo Sihombing.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Police, Kombes Police, Adam Erwindi, confirmed on Tuesday 21 June, confirming the change in the leadership of the West Papua Police based on the Telegram Letter of the Chief of Police Number: ST/1214/VI/KEP./ 2022 dated June 20, 2022 and the Decree of the Chief of Police Number: KEP/756 / VI/ June 20, 2022.

The Head of Public Relations said Inspector General Pol. Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga was appointed to a new position as West Papua Police Chief from his previous position as Widyaiswara Main Police Level I Sespim Lemdiklat Polri.

While Inspector General Pol. Tornagogo Sihombing from the position of West Papua Police Chief was appointed Deputy Inspector of General Supervision (Wairwasum) of the National Police.

"Mutations within the National Police are a tradition in an effort to refresh the organization, as well as in promotion of the career path of a true Polri," said the Head of Public Relations.

It is known that Inspector General of Police. Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga served as Head of the National Police's Food Task Force (Kasatgas) at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic entering Indonesia in 2020.
