Coming Home From Night Shift Work, Motorcycle Rider's Hand Hacked Off In Front Of SMA 48 Duren Sawit
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police is still conducting an investigation regarding a motorcycle rider who became a victim of a robbery on Jalan Buaran, in front of SMK 48, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Friday, June 17, early in the morning.
"We are currently investigating. We are still examining the victims and witnesses," said Duren Sawit Police Chief Kompol Martson Marbun when contacted by reporters, Friday, June 17.
The burglary has also gone viral on social media. Based on information on one of the Instagram social media accounts, the incident began when the victim returned home from working the night shift. When passing in front of SMK 48 Duren Sawit, the victim was grabbed by the robbers.
The suspect grabbed the victim's hand with a sharp weapon. Furthermore, the perpetrators managed to get away with the victim's motorbike with number B 4230 TXR.
Kompol Marbun, as he is familiarly called, also confirmed that there was a robbery incident that went viral on social media.
"(The victim) came home from work suddenly, at around 02.30, (the victim) was grabbed by two people riding motorbikes," he said.
The police chief said there were two perpetrators. As a result of the incident, the victim's hand was stabbed with a sharp weapon.
"(The victim) Only the wound was slashed with a machete," he said.
Meanwhile, the victim's motorbike was taken away by the perpetrator.
"The victim's motorbike (lost confiscated), just a motorbike. Pray, hopefully the culprit will be caught quickly," said Kompol Marbun.
