"It is with a heavy heart, I beg to say goodbye, I thank you very much for the big family of Persija Jakarta, fellow players, team management, club president, coaching team, team doctors and Jakmania," wrote Konate on his personal Instagram on the same day.
"I apologize if I'm wrong, too little time with Persija Jakarta, only half a season with amazing friends," he added.
Konate also said that parting with Persija was a difficult matter. He admitted that he still wanted to enjoy the atmosphere of the stadium with the support of Jakmania like when he faced Sabah FC in early June 2022.
"I want to experience the match with Jakmania and Jak Angel in a live stadium, but Allah has other plans, I have to accept and respect this decision," he continued.
Previously Konate was not present at the training session, a farewell gesture was also shown through Konate's name which was not seen in the list of players that Persija brought to Samarinda for the 2022 President's Cup tournament.
