SAMARINDA - The Samarinda City Police (Polresta) will hold Operation Obedience Mahakam 2022 which will last for 14 days, starting from June 13 to June 26, 2022.
"This operation aims to improve public order, compliance and discipline in traffic on the highway," said Samarinda Police Chief Kombes Pol Ary Fadli in Samarinda, quoted from Antara, Monday 13 June.
He explained that the operation will focus on preemptive and preventive activities for people who drive on the road.
The operation also involved joint personnel consisting of elements of the TNI, Polri, Dishub, Satpol and Jasa Raharja. "Later, officers will be mobile and target points that have the potential for traffic violations," he said.
The Police Chief also hopes that the 2022 Mahakam Compliance Operation can encourage the achievement of the operation's objectives, namely the creation of a safe and smooth traffic situation in locations prone to accidents, traffic violations and congestion.
"Of course, there will also be an increase in public order, compliance and discipline in traffic," he hoped.
Let's obey the rules together for the safety of ourselves and others and stay disciplined in implementing health protocols.
