Candidates For Hajj From Padang Embarkation Who Died Just Finished Prayers At The Prophet's Mosque
JAKARTA - A prospective pilgrim from Indonesia, Bangun Lubis Wahid, is reported to have died in Medina, Friday, June 10. The pilgrim candidate from the Padang Embarkation Group 4 died after completing prayers at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina at around 17.40 Saudi Arabian time.
The Head of the Medina Working Area (Daker) Amin Handoyo received information that the deceased came from the Haram and then entered the mosque lobby.
"Then he fell and was treated by a doctor from the crew," said Amin Handoyo, as reported by Antara, Saturday, June 11.
Amin said the deceased had been treated at the King Fahd Hospital. Previously, the group doctor immediately confirmed the patient's condition and provided first aid CPR, assisted by other worshipers to free the patient's airway.
Amin said the body would be taken care of until Muasasah Adilla was buried. The family has also been willing to release the deceased to be buried in the Holy Land.
He added that the government ensures that prospective pilgrims who die before the peak of the pilgrimage will be vilified (hajj processions are carried out by other people) and get insurance.
Bangun Lubis Wahid is the second Indonesian pilgrim candidate to die in the Holy Land after the previous Hajj candidate from the Jakarta-Pondok Gede Embarkation (JKG) on behalf of Suhati Rahmat Ali Binti H. Rahmat died upon arrival at Medina Airport.
In addition, there are 15 sick pilgrims, 13 of whom are being treated at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Medina and two are being treated at the Medina Hospital.
