Getafe President Claims Gareth Bale Offered, Player's Agent: I Don't Even Have His Number

JAKARTA - Getafe President Angel Torres made a surprising statement. He claims, Gareth Bale has been offered to him.

"50 minutes ago Gareth Bale was offered to me and I have spoken to his agent," Torres said, as reported by El Golazo de Gol.

Torres later said his side would study the possibility of bringing Bale. Discussions will be held with the coaching team and club management.

This comment was immediately denied by the player's agent, Joshua Barnett. He laughed at the statement made by President Getafe.

"I don't even have President Getafe's number," Barnett told Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Bale has indeed become a commodity in the transfer market this summer. He is a free agent after not extending his contract with Real Madrid.

A number of clubs have been linked with the Welshman. Starting from Cardiff, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United.

Currently, Bale is still busy carrying out his country's duties to defend the Wales national team in the UEFA Nations League. In the near future, the 32-year-old is believed to be deciding the next club.
