The IKN Area Will Be Planted With Plants From 34 Provinces
SAMARINDA - The Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of East Kalimantan Province, Yudha Pranoto said that the Archipelago Capital area (IKN) will be planted with plants from 34 provinces in Indonesia.
The activity, explained Yudha, was carried out in a series of activities for the 2022 Disaster Risk Reduction Month (DRR) in Balikpapan City.
"In this activity, each province brings endemic flora or plants characteristic of each province that will be planted in the IKN area. Previously, President Joko Widodo had united water and land from 34 provinces, then we will also unite endemic flora from 34 provinces. This is just a plan, hopefully it can be realized," explained Yudha Pranoto at a Coordination Meeting and hearing with the BNPB Deputy for Prevention and the team in the preparation agenda for the 2022 DRR Month commemoration in Samarind.
In addition to planting endemic flora from 34 provinces, during the 2022 DRR Month activities, Mangrove planting will also be carried out in the Disaster Resilient Village in Manggar Village, Balikpapan.
Next is a field trip, field orientation for participants of the DRR Month commemoration, by focusing on the location of the IKN if faced with the possibility of a potential disaster, so that each representative from each province must know where the location of the IKN Zero point is.
"We hope that field trips to IKN, participants from the disaster department can provide input related to disaster factors that may occur and must be watched out for, so that during this visit there are special notes, both from BNPB and provincial and district/city BPBDs, so that potential disasters that may If something happens, we have to be aware of it and anticipate it," said Yudha
In addition, Yudha continued, during the DRR 2022 activity, a disaster management exhibition will also be held, which is a forum to convey information to the public regarding the active role of the government, partners and parties involved in disaster management.
"The material presented focused on the role of Provincial and Regency/Municipal BPBDs in disaster management, disaster support facilities owned and the active role of disaster partners. In addition, the exhibition was filled with product introductions for disaster tools and did not rule out the possibility of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) also enlivening exhibition," said Yudha Pranoto.
