Watch Out! Cempaka Putih Area, Central Jakarta Prone To DHF, Officers Increase The Number Of Jumantik Task Force Cadres

JAKARTA - The number of dengue fever (DHF) patients in the Central Jakarta area, especially the Cempaka Putih area, is increasing. To suppress the rate of increase in DHF, Cempaka Putih District began to add a cadre of larva monitoring interpreters (Jumantik).

"Currently, only 376 residents have become Jumantik cadres from various neighborhood units (RT). We will add Jumantik cadres in areas prone to dengue," said Camat Andri when contacted, Tuesday, June 7.

In addition to increasing the number of Jumantik cadres, his party will increase monitoring hours in areas prone to dengue. From what was previously only Friday, now it will be added on Tuesday and Friday. The activity will be routine every week.

"We are doing additional days, so in one there are two monitoring activities carried out by Jumantik cadres," he said.

Andri said that the number of dengue cases in Cempaka Putih was 64 cases.

"We are currently paying close attention to the West Cempaka Putih area," he said.

Previously reported, the increase in the number of cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Central Jakarta occurred in the last two months. The current number of cases has reached 160 cases.

The highest number is in the Cempaka Putih sub-district and followed by the Kemayoran sub-district. The number of DHF cases has increased due to the rain factor, which triggers the growth of DHF mosquito larvae.
