Claims To Be A Policewoman And Tricked Her Victims Of Rp. 13 Million To Handle Cases, Students In North Sumatra Arrested

MEDAN - The woman with the initials FS (23) resident of North Labuhanbatu Regency (Labura), North Sumatra (North Sumatra) was arrested by the South Tapanuli Police team (Tapsel). The woman was arrested for claiming to be a policewoman to commit fraud.

South Tapan Police Chief AKBP Roman Smaradhana Elhaj said the perpetrator was a student. To her victim, the woman admitted that she was a policewoman who served at the South Tapanuli Police.

FS's fraud began when he came to the house of his victim, Aminah Harahap (35) in North Padanglawas.

"At that time, FS admitted that he wanted to rent a house next to Aminah's residence. To Aminah, FS admitted that he was a policewoman who served in the South Tapanuli Police," said AKBP Roman, Tuesday, June 7.

In their second conversation, FS admitted that he was willing to help take care of the victim's motorbike, which was being held at the Mandailing Natal District Attorney's Office (Kejari).

In fact, FS claims that he is able to release Aminah's husband who is currently being held in detention. Hearing the willingness of the FS, Aminah became deceived.

The victim who had been deceived even volunteered to give some money to FS, to help manage the problem.

"The first time, the victim gave money to the suspect as much as Rp. 2 million. Second, as much as Rp. 2 million. The third time, Rp. 4 million. And lastly, the suspect asked for Rp. 5 million," he said.

AKBP Roman said that the victim, who had handed over a total of Rp. 13 million, began to suspect FS. This is because the affairs promised by FS will not be completed.

Suspicions grew even more when FS admitted that he wanted to move his house from Aminah's rented house. Not accepting this, Aminah reported the matter to the Padang Bolak Police.

"After investigation, it turned out that the suspect was a fake policewoman. For further investigation, the perpetrators and evidence are currently being held at the Padang Bolak Police Headquarters," he concluded.
