TNT Found In Bandung, Densus 88 Says There Is No Indication Of Terrorist Networks

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror stated that there is no indication of the involvement of a terrorist network behind the findings of Trinitrotoluene (TNT) in a building located on Jalan Asia Afrika, Bandung City, West Java. However, the issue of the owner of the explosives is still being investigated.

"There is no history of a terror group network living in that place," said Head of the Banops Densus 88 Antiterror Division Commissioner Aswin Siregar when confirmed, Tuesday, June 7.

This indication has not been found based on the results of the database examination held by Densus 88.

So, to find out the owner of TNT, the process of searching for evidence and evidence will be carried out. Until finally, the facts behind the explosives were found.

"We have checked the database," said Aswin.

Previously, objects suspected of being explosives and a firearm complete with a number of bullets were found in a building located on Jalan Asia Afrika, Bandung City, West Java.

Bandung Police Chief Commissioner Aswin Sipayung said a number of dangerous items were found during the renovation of a building. Once found, residents reported it to the police.

"It was reported to us at 20.30 a.m. at night. It was found by people who were going to renovate the house, they were going to clean it, it turned out that these (explosives and weapons, ed) were found," said Aswin.

According to him, the items found contained Trinitrotoluene (TNT) or melted explosives. In addition, there is also one firearm, which according to him is still being investigated.

"Then a number of live ammunition and firearms. We haven't counted it but it's quite a lot, the details haven't been counted," said Aswin
