Project Using Domestic Products, Pertamina TKDN Reaches 60 Percent
JAKARTA - Pertamina reports the realization of the use of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in 2021 to reach 60 percent or worth Rp. 9.73 trillion.
Temporary acting (Pjs) Vice President Corporate Communication of Pertamina Heppy Wulansari said Pertamina's TKDN realization had been fully verified by independent surveyors from PT Sucofindo and PT Surveyor Indonesia. The realization includes Pertamina Group, both holding and sub holding.
"One form of Pertamina's commitment to ensure that the implementation of the use of TKDN in the company runs optimally is by compiling and implementing Guidelines for the Management of the Use of Domestic Products which are effective from December 1, 2020," Heppy said in an official statement quoted Tuesday, May 7, 2020.
According to Heppy, as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), Pertamina continues to increase the use of domestic products and prioritizes the domestic industry in the implementation of Pertamina's business processes and projects. This is in accordance with Government regulations to encourage the movement of the national economy as stated in Government Regulation no. 29 of 2018 concerning Industrial Empowerment and other relevant Ministry regulations.
Pertamina, continued Heppy, has also made a Corporate Long-Term Plan (RJPP) in which one of the focuses is a roadmap for the implementation of TKDN which is gradually targeted to reach 50 percent by 2026.
This illustrates that Pertamina is committed to continuously increasing the use of TKDN in a sustainable manner.
"Pertamina has required the implementation of TKDN in every procurement process in all Pertamina Group business lines, both in the procurement of goods, procurement of services or the procurement of a combination of goods and services," said Heppy.
Heppy explained various examples of the application of TKDN in national strategic projects, one of which was the procurement of pipes for the Lawe-lawe EPC Project in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, which used domestic products.
The project, which is run by Subholding Refinery & Petrochemical - PT Refinery Pertamina Internasional (KPI) uses 20-inch and 52-inch onshore and offshore transfer pipes, all of which are the work of the nation's children, thereby significantly increasing TKDN achievement.
PT KPI also always provides assistance from the beginning to domestic pipe manufacturers, starting from the manufacture of plate material to the manufacture of the pipe so that the pipe products produced meet the specifications required in the project.
The implementation of TKDN is also carried out at PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) in the production of 20 inch conductor pipes.
PT PHM has consistently provided guidance to domestic manufacturers, so that the domestically produced pipe products can meet the specifications required by the project.
From the guidance that has been carried out, the production pipes from 2 domestic manufacturers have passed the field trial test and can be used as a substitute for imported products. This also increases Pertamina's overall TKDN achievement.
"For this achievement and commitment, Pertamina is the only BUMN that has received an award from the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) for its commitment to implementing TKDN," said Heppy.
