PPKM Has Been Extended, The Community Is Asked To Stay Alert Even Though There Is A Relaxation In The Use Of Masks
JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian issued the Minister of Home Affairs Instruction (Inmendagri) regarding the extension of the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), namely the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 29 of 2022 for regulation of PPKM in Java Bali and Minister of Home Affairs Number 30 of 2022 for regulation of PPKM outside Java and Bali.
In the Minister of Home Affairs, PPKM in Java-Bali and outside Java-Bali was extended for four weeks, from 7 June to 4 July 2022.
The Director-General of Regional Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal stated that currently all districts/cities in Java-Bali are included in the PPKM Level 1 assessment. Meanwhile, outside Java-Bali, this time only 1 district is still at Level 2.
"All regions, 128 regencies/cities in Java-Bali are in Level 1 PPKM. As for areas outside Java-Bali, 385 regencies/cities are in PPKM Level 1, and only 1 district, namely Teluk Bintuni Regency which is still at Level 1. 2, and there are no regencies/cities both in Java-Bali and outside Java-Bali that are at Level 3 and Level 4," said Safrizal in his statement, Tuesday, June 7.
Safrizal said that the decline in the assessment level to Level 2 in almost all regions showed that the COVID-19 situation in Indonesia was getting better.
"We should be grateful that after more than 2 years of struggling with the Covid-19 response, in the extension of the Ministry of Home Affairs this time we see the condition is getting better," said Safrizal.
He continued, when almost all regions have Level 1 status, it means that community activities can be said to be able to operate normally with a maximum capacity of 100 percent in various sectors.
"But I still and always urge that even though the relaxation of the mask use policy has been issued, the public must still be aware of the potentials that can cause the transmission of COVID-19," he said.
Furthermore, in this PPKM regulation, there is also a relaxation of policies on entry restrictions for international travelers, including the determination of air travel gates for Hajj pilgrims who perform their worship in 2022.
Especially for air entrances, this time the Inmendagri is aligned with the National COVID-19 Task Force Circular No. 19 concerning Health Protocols for Overseas Travel during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period.
So that the Inmendagri this time is detailed for the entrance to foreign travel by air, namely Soekarno Hatta Airport, Juanda Airport, Ngurah Rai Airport, Hang Nadim Airport, Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport, Sam Ratulangi Airport, Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport, Kualanamu Airport, International Airport Sultan Hasanuddin, and Yogyakarta International Airport.
Furthermore, 6 airports were also added which were opened from June 4, 2022, to August 15, 2022, as entry points for Indonesian citizens performing the Hajj, namely Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Minangkabau Airport, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, Adisumarmo Airport, Syamsudin Noor Airport, and Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman International Airport.
At the land entrance, the adjustment of the Ministry of Home Affairs is carried out where only a few Cross-border Posts (PLBN) can be used, namely PLBN Aruk, PLBN Entikong, PLBN Motaain, PLBN Nanga Badau, PLBN Montamasin, PLBN Wini, PLBN Skouw, and PLBN Sota.
Meanwhile, the entrance by sea has been allowed through all international sea ports which were opened at the discretion of the Director-General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation.
