Lampung Police Fails To Ship 69 Kilograms Of Cannabis At Bakauheni Port, Plans To Send It To Bekasi

LAMPUNG - The Lampung Regional Police thwarted the shipment of 69 kilograms of marijuana when it was about to cross from Bakauheni Port, South Lampung.

"The integrated team managed to thwart the shipment when it was about to cross through Bakauheni Port," said Deputy Director of Drugs at the Lampung Police, AKBP FX Winardi during a press conference at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Antara, Friday, June 3.

Winardi explained, in an effort to thwart the delivery of 69 kilograms of marijuana, officers also arrested a bus driver with the initials AG who was carrying the package. The package containing the marijuana was carried in three large boxes.

"The plan for this marijuana package will be brought to the Bekasi area," he added.

The integrated team then developed the evidence from the 69 packages of marijuana and arrested two men with the initials AMN and ERW.

In addition, the Lampung Regional Police also carried out an operation by revealing 1,300 ecstasy pills at Peace, Bandar Lampung in the afternoon around 16.30 WIB.

"From the 1,300 ecstasy pills, we arrested three suspects with the initials IRF, RFK, and TRM. We also uncovered the circulation of three kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at Bakauheni Port with the arrest of four suspects with the initials IGS (45), PJP (45), IKJ, and INB. in Mataram in New Mataram, West Lombok, NTB," he said.
