Attorney General Transfers 2 Prosecutors In Sumenep For Disgraceful Actions
JAKARTA - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has transferred two prosecutors at the Sumenep District Prosecutor's Office, East Java, namely the Head of Pidum with the initials IM and the Head of Evidence with the initials BN, in connection with disgraceful acts.
"The leadership of the Attorney General's Office stated that they would take firm action and impose severe sanctions on any individual prosecutors and/or prosecutors' employees if they committed a disgraceful act", said the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, in a written statement quoted by Antara, Friday, June 3.
According to Ketut, the withdrawal or mutation of the two prosecutors is to make it easier for them to undergo examination by the supervisory sector and to maintain conduciveness in Sumenep Regency.
The two prosecutors were withdrawn or temporarily assigned to the East Java High Court.
"The leadership of the Attorney General's Office does not want parties to interfere with law enforcement in the region or anywhere that injures public justice", said Ketut.
