Dear NasDem, Desmond Gerindra Says M Taufik Is Not An Extraordinary Figure, It's Wrong To Lead The Party
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party, Desmond J Mahesa, was grateful when member of the Board of Trustees of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra Party DPD M Taufik moved to the NasDem Party.
During his time at Gerindra, Desmond said that Taufik had little achievement in raising the party bearing the Garuda bird symbol. The reason given by Taufik that his move was for supporting Anies Baswedan was just a trick.
"It might just be Taufik. Actually, it's not right for him to lead the party, that's why he was replaced," said Desmond when met by VOI at the Parliamentary Complex of the DPR RI, Jakarta, Thursday, June 2.
Desmond also advised NasDem not to see the former deputy chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD as an extraordinary figure. Because in Gerindra, said Desmond, Taufik is very ordinary.
"Don't look at extraordinary taufik, for us it's just ordinary," said Desmond.
The deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR reiterated that Taufik was replaced by Gerindra because he had no achievements while carrying out the duties of the party led by Prabowo Subianto. So that Taufik is no longer comfortable taking shelter in Gerindra.
"He is not comfortable because he was replaced. Because we saw that he did not manage the party properly. He has no achievements," said Desmond.
Previously, Member of the Board of Trustees of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra Party DPD M Taufik, expressed his desire to move to the NasDem Party. Taufik admitted that he was uncomfortable with the current situation and some people in the Gerindra Party. In addition, Taufik explained that the reason he wanted to move to the NasDem Party was because the party created by Surya Paloh was a nationalist party.
“When I made a choice, my shift was definitely to the nationalists too. One of them is the nationalist party, Nasdem,” said Taufik, Wednesday, June 1.
Moreover, said Taufik, NasDem has a direction to support DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan running for the 2024 presidential election.
"I happened to see that (Nasdem) was close to Anies in 2024. This is somewhat in line with my thoughts. I was praying for Anies," said Taufik.
