Apologizing For Long Queues At Manggarai Station, KAI Prepares Additional Feeder KRLs To Angke And Kampung Bandan
JAKARTA - KAI Commuter apologizes for the accumulation of passenger queues at Manggarai Station since Saturday, May 28 yesterday. This long queue occurred due to changes in the operational pattern of the KRL.
VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Anne Purba, said that the long queues occurred because of restrictions on the speed of trains to and from Manggarai Station. "KAI Commuter apologizes for the high delay on the first day. However, in the afternoon this can be resolved by cutting off relations to minimize delays. The speed limit is also being evaluated so that it can be improved," said Anne in her statement, Sunday, May 29.
Anne said, on the first day of the operational change in yesterday's trip, there were 464,451 users who traveled, specifically at Manggarai Station the volume of users was 20,152 people.
At this station, users who transit reach more than 120,000 to 200,000 people every day. To anticipate overcrowding, Anne said that her party operates a feeder KRL on the Manggarai-Angke/Kampung Bandan connection.
"KAI Commuter also operates the KRL feeder for the Manggarai-Angke/Kampung Bandan connection via platform 8 to anticipate overcrowding on platforms 6 and 7 due to the impact of delays and cut connections so as to reduce congestion at stations," he said.
As is known, starting on May 28, KRL trips across Bogor will only serve connections between Bogor/Depok/Nambo - Jakarta Kota pp via Manggarai Station.
Meanwhile, the loop line operation pattern is served by KRL crossing Cikarang/Bekasi with 2 schemes, namely full racket Cikarang/Bekasi pp via Manggarai or Pasar Senen and Half Racket Cikarang/Bekasi – Kampung Bandan/Angke pp via Manggarai.
As for the KRL across Rangkasbitung and across Tangerang, the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train journey, as well as long-distance trains did not change.
Train trips across Bogor/Depok/Nambo will be served on the 2nd floor of Manggarai Station platform 10-13, the loop line crossing, namely Cikarang/Bekasi will be served on the ground floor of platforms 6 and 7, and Soekarno-Hatta Airport train journeys will be served on the ground floor of platforms 8 and 9.
Thus, KRL users from Bekasi/Cikarang to Jakarta Kota, who previously used one trip, now have to transit at the Manggarai station. Likewise, users of the Bogor/Depok/Nambo KRL to Sudirman, Tanah Abang, Duri must also transit at the Manggarai station.
