West Sulawesi Health Office Gives Medicines For Malunda Flood Victims

MAMUJU - The Health Office (Dinkes) of West Sulawesi Province (Sulbar) distributed health logistics assistance for flood victims in Malunda District, Majene Regency.

Head of the West Sulawesi Health Office, Asran Masdy, in Mamuju, Saturday, said that assistance for the Malunda flood victims was distributed through the Malunda Health Center.

"The logistical assistance is in the form of health facilities and medicines for disaster victims to prevent disease as a result of the disaster," said Asran, quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 28.

Asran added, the West Sulawesi Health Office also conducted an assessment of the conditions and needs of the puskesmas through the Rapid Health Assessment (RHA) for disaster management.

"Assessment and data collection on the number of logistical needs and health problems, as well as mapping the capacity of health facilities and resources, in order to maximize the handling of the banjir bandang disaster in Malunda in the health sector," he said.

He said the health team immediately went to the community to handle the health of flood victims.

"The government hopes that this disaster will pass quickly and people can resume their activities. The Health Office will try to provide maximum health services," he said.
