COVID-19 Update As Of 27 May: 224 New Cases, 277 Heals Increase
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 63,631 specimens were examined with the result that there were 224 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,053,894 and active cases have fallen by 62 to 2,949," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, May 27.
Today's recovered cases increased by 277 people, bringing the total to 5,894,380 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 9 cases and the total was 156,565 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 110 cases and a total of 1,250,310 cases. Followed by West Java with 32 new cases with a total of 1,106,456 cases. East Java with 17 new cases and a total of 576,190 cases. Banten with 15 new cases and a total of 293,054 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 66 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 33 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 29 recovered cases, and Bnten with an additional 20 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 98,479,250.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.32 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 2,306 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 200,112,862 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,198,137 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 45,034,435. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
