PPKM In Jakarta Down To Level 1, Anies: This Is A Colossal Work
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said he was grateful for the decrease in the assessment level for the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) from Level 2 to Level 1 in Jakarta.
Anies hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in Jakarta, will improve, so that the government can stop PPKM because it can release the pandemic status to become endemic.
"We are certainly grateful that the stable condition of the pandemic in Jakarta is decreasing and we hope that this condition will continue, hopefully later we will no longer need to be in the PPKM status," said Anies in the Thousand Islands, Tuesday, May 24.
Anies said the improvement in the handling of this pandemic was the result of joint work, from medical personnel, police officers, National Armed Forces (TNI), Dishub officers, Civil Service Police (Satpol PP), to tourism officers who monitored the supervision of health protocols in the field.
"This is a colossal work, it cannot be done by one party alone, but it is a joint work here, so that Jakarta is more stable," said Anies.
"This curry is a new chapter and we don't want to go back to yesterday's situation, where we were in a state full of challenges. God willing, in the future it will be more stable and safer than before," he continued.
