GSC Game World Continues Development Of Stalker 2 After Russia's Invasion Of Ukraine
JAKARTA - GSC Game World is reported to have continued the development of Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl after the Russian invasion of Ukraine some time ago.
This incident forced the studio to halt development of Stalker 2. On March 2, the Kyiv-based studio announced it was suspending games while working to help their employees affected by the conflict.
According to reports from Czech media, the studio relocated its staff to Prague that same month.
But apparently, the game is back on track. A message was found by Polish gaming outlet GRY Online that GSC Game World employees said it was continuing, when asked by the Community.
Previously, the developer announced that Stalker 2 would be officially released in December, but that announcement came before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At that time, GSC Games World had ceased its business operations in Russia in March 2022.
"On February 24, Russia declared war on Ukraine and sent rockets, tanks and soldiers to our homeland," he said. “Our country is forced to fight for its existence again. It seems like this is the price of freedom.”
