Police Investigate Molotov Terror At Home Of Islamic Boarding School Owner In Meulaboh, West Aceh
MEULABOH - The West Aceh Police are investigating the terror of throwing Molotov cocktails at the house belonging to Ustadz H Abdullah Akib, the leader of the Meulaboh Iqra Learning Council (MBI) Islamic Boarding School.
"There were no casualties in this incident," said West Aceh Police Chief AKBP Pandji Santoso, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 17.
The police chief explained that the terror attack has now been handled and he confirmed the provisional suspicion that the bomb that exploded was an improvised Molotov cocktail.
The police also secured a number of evidences at the scene, including fragments of a bottle suspected to have come from a Molotov cocktail that was thrown by the perpetrator at the victim's house.
"Please pray for this case to be revealed quickly," said the Chief of Police.
Separately, the Aceh Regional Police asked the public to remain calm and not speculate after throwing a Molotov cocktail at a house in West Aceh Regency.
"We ask the public to remain calm and do not speculate about this incident. Trust the police to reveal it," said Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Kombes Winardy.
Previously, the house belonging to the leader of the Iqra Learning Council Islamic Boarding School (MBI) in Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency, was pelted with Molotov cocktails by an unknown person.
As a result, the front of the house caught fire in the front of the house. There were no casualties in the incident. The owner of the house and his family are safe.
Kombes Winardy said a number of West Aceh Police personnel were dispatched to the location after the incident. Joran Akib's house is located on Jalan Purnama, Gampong Drein Rampak, Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency.
