Regional Police Guarantees Security Of KNPI Congress In North Maluku
TERNATE - North Maluku Police Chief Inspector General Risyapudin Nursin deployed hundreds of personnel in the cities of Ternate and Sofifi, Tidore Islands to ensure the safe implementation of the XVI Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) Congress.
"I have checked at several points in the City of Ternate and in the City of Tidore Islands in order to see firsthand the readiness of personnel and infrastructure to make the 2022 KNPI XVI Congress successful in North Maluku Province," said the North Maluku Police Chief, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 16.
In addition, the Regional Police Chief held a readiness meeting at the Regional Government Port, in Guraping, Tidore Islands City to provide direction and attention to 470 North Maluku Police personnel and assistance from TNI members in securing the 2022 KNPI XVI Congress in North Maluku.
In his directive, the Regional Police Chief mentioned pride for North Maluku because the implementation of the KNPI Congress this time was held in North Maluku, precisely in two cities, namely Ternate City and Tidore Islands City.
"We have to show a friendly attitude as hosts, because this congress is attended by all young people in Indonesia," he also said.
Given the uncertain weather situation, the Police Chief asked all personnel to pay attention to security factors, especially in the sea area.
"Do updates on weather developments and monitor sea waves, and coordinate with Basarnas and BMKG," he said.
He said that the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the National Police and the local government was necessary for the success of this event.
"Every movement of participants must always be coordinated by officers with the committee for security and smooth implementation of activities, and this is a national event so that security is carried out properly to ensure everything runs safely and smoothly.
The Police Chief also ordered to carry out patrols and raids on liquor, so that there were no incidents that could disrupt the KNPI Congress in North Maluku.
"Let's show that the people of North Maluku are friendly and ready to guard and secure the KNPI Congress in North Maluku," he said.
