Ridwan Kamil Visits Airlangga At His Residence, Discusses Presidential Candidates?
JAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil visited the official residence of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto on Jalan Widya Chandra, South Jakarta, today.
After the meeting, Airlangga admitted that the two met in the context of friendship after Eid. Some of the things that Airlangga and Kang Emil discussed were economic conditions in West Java.
"We discussed economic development in West Java which is included in national strategic projects, the amount of which could reach Rp300 trillion," said Airlangga at his residence, Sunday, May 15.
In addition, Airlangga admitted that the two also discussed political matters.
"Of course, in the discussion, we discussed other things, which of course were also related to current political developments, where of course Pak Emil as the Governor of West Java has also been supported by the Golkar Party so that his work can run smoothly," he said.
Continuing, Kang Emil also conveyed the response of the West Java community regarding the United Indonesia coalition formed by Golkar, PAN and PPP. Kang Emil caught him, his people responded positively to the coalition.
"Thirdly, there is news about the coalition, below is a good response to Pak Airlangga. Sir, this coalition has a very positive response and hopes and of course hopefully it will support the rest of my position," said Kang Emil.
Regarding the stock exchange for presidential and vice presidential candidates, Kang Emil admitted that he had not discussed it with Airlangga. However, the former mayor of Bandung did not rule out the possibility that he was promoted by Golkar.
"I support Pak Airlangga's ideals, his capacity and responsibility are also great, including if later there are political dimensions that may not be calculated from now on. As (the election) approaches, I will definitely return the favor, lah, to Golkar's support in West Java," he explained.
