COVID-19 Update As Of May 14: New Cases Increase By 308, 3,958 Suspected

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. Of the 130,348 specimens examined, there were 308 additional cases.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,050,519 and active cases have fallen by 113 to 4,825", said Health Ministry data, Saturday, May 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 416 cases, bringing the total to 5,889,241 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that 5 died and a total of 156.453 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 114 cases and a total of 1,249,016 cases. Followed by West Java with 39 new cases with a total of 1,105,988 cases. East Java has 33 new cases and a total of 575,867 cases. Then, Central Java with 24 new cases and a total of 627,343 cases.

Banten has the most recovered cases today, with an additional 118 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 116 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 89 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 26 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 97,245,391.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.34 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,953 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 199,556,458 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 66,160,498 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 42,415,365. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
