The Sad Story Behind Kabul's Success Plays Tessy In Srimulat, Makes Children Ridicule Friend

JAKARTA - The figure of Tessy in the comedy group Srimulat is one of the iconic characters. Kabul, who is a real man, dressed up as a woman with dozens of colorful agates in his hands, becoming entertainment for the public.

Not many know, behind this success, Kabul held back tears because he was sad to know his child was bullied by his friends at school. Her daughter, felt ashamed because she was ridiculed as a transgender child.

This was revealed when Kabul alias Tessy accompanied Erick Estrada to watch the film Srimulat: The Impossible Hil First Act at Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 12. While crying, Erick told the same story that happened to Kabul.

"When Pakde Kabul initially became Tessy, his child cried, embarrassed that he didn't want to go to school because his friends teased him," said Erick.

While holding back tears, Erick also admitted that the child was also mocked by his friends when he played the character 'Tessy'. In fact, the child was taken to a psychologist because he was bullied.

"Yes, this can be called magic in films. I asked what happened to Mr. Tessy, because I observed as an actor how his gestures were, the way he walked, that's what I noticed," said Erick.

"But behind that, yes, I also experienced what happened to him. From family, from children. Yes, again, God gives a test to someone to go up to class, right. Not going to class first, then taking the exam," he said.

Grateful, Erick also has a wife who is as strong as Kabul. According to him, his wife gave him total confidence to act. He did not even contact his wife and children while filming so that his concentration would not be split.

"I am very grateful that his wife supports him, he explains to this child his job. Just like Pakde Kabul's wife. From here I am very impressed with the professionalism of Pakde Kabul. On stage, Pakde is Tessy. But once you get off the stage, don't look for Tessy anymore," said Erick .

This statement made Kabul alias Tessy feel relieved and proud. "I saw Erick's acting very happy. I am grateful that there are still people who follow in my footsteps. ," said Kabul Basuki alias Tessy.
