RSUDAM Prepares Alert Team To Handle Acute Hepatitis

BANDAR LAMPUNG - Abdul Moeloek Regional General Hospital (RSUDAM) Lampung Province has prepared an alert team to handle acute hepatitis in children in the hospital environment.

"In the meantime, we are still raising awareness about the incidence of acute hepatitis that infects children," said Director of the Abdul Moeloek Regional General Hospital (RSUDAM) Lampung Province, Lukman Pura, in Bandarlampung, Friday, May 13.

He said as an anticipatory step RSUDAM had formed a team at the hospital level to handle the acute hepatitis case.

"We have formed a team at the hospital level, so if there is an unwanted incident, we can take anticipatory steps and treatment," he said, quoted by Antara.

He explained that apart from forming a handling team, all facilities and infrastructure had also been provided as a precautionary measure.

"Infrastructure facilities have been prepared such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), treatment rooms, and action plans have also been prepared," he said.

According to him, for treatment, diagnostics, and reporting will continue to be coordinated with other hospitals, the Health Services, and professional organizations.

"Of course, because the specifics of this disease are not known and many children infect, so precautionary steps are taken with caution. Even though at this time no infected children have been found in the hospital environment, we will remain vigilant and get ready," he also said.
