Director Of KAI: The Existence Of The Jabodebek LRT Grows Business Opportunities For MSMEs
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Didiek Hartantyo revealed that the existence of the Jabodebek LRT transportation mode will foster business opportunities for MSMEs.
"Hopefully this can grow business opportunities, especially MSMEs that cause a multiplier effect, and this has been proven that the new railroad crossings that we are developing will foster economic growth," he said in an online seminar, quoted from Antara, Thursday, May 12.
Didiek also added that another benefit of the Jabodebek LRT is the potential for new economic growth around the station.
"The benefits of this LRT project if we look at the availability of alternative modes of mass transportation that are more efficient and modern," he said.
In addition, the Jabodebek LRT also encourages the availability of jobs both during project construction and operation.
Then, improve the performance of the transportation network system, reduce congestion, emissions, use of fuel and save travel time.
Another benefit is to increase Indonesia's positive image as one of the countries in the world that operates LRT based on grade 3 automation (GOA) technology, encourages equitable economic growth in the area around DKI Jakarta and West Java, and creates potential for state revenues, both directly and indirectly. .
Previously, PT Adhi Karya obtained funding through a syndicated bank loan of Rp. 2.39 trillion for the construction of the Jabodebek LRT, with the absorbed financing reaching Rp. 950 billion.
The banking syndicate came from Bank Mandiri with a funding percentage of 32.26 percent, BNI 32.26 percent, Papua Regional Development Bank 20.87 percent, and North Sumatra Regional Development Bank 14.61 percent.
The total financing to build all Jabodebek LRT facilities will be Rp. 4.2 trillion with additional funding, namely through state capital participation (PNM) of Rp. 1.3 trillion.
Currently, the construction of the LRT Depot facility has reached a physical progress of 72.5 percent with track maneuvers and track transfers being completed. In addition, the main control building has been handed over to KAI for the operation preparation process.
