South Sulawesi DPRD Flys To Semarang, Asks For Help To Resolve Student Dormitory Dispute
JAKARTA - Members of Commission A of the South Sulawesi DPRD met with the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, asking for help in resolving an asset dispute in the city of Semarang.
The chairman of Commission A of the South Sulawesi DPRD, Selle KS Dalle, revealed that the asset in dispute was the Sultan's Student Dormitory building in Barusari Village, South Semarang.
"This is a provincial asset, which since 2016 has been claimed by other parties. There has been mediation in the process, but nothing has come of it yet," said Selle during an audience, Wednesday, May 11.
He said the area being disputed was currently in a state of status quo. However, in the field, the party claiming the area actually locks the building fence so that physically the person concerned makes efforts to control it.
Selle was pleased with Ganjar's response, who immediately ordered his staff to help resolve the dispute and hoped that positive efforts or mediation between the Central Java and South Sulawesi Provincial Governments could result in a common ground on this disputed case.
"At the same time, we also entrust children who are taking education jihad here, we entrust it to the Governor at any time, thank you, Governor," he said.
Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he had assigned the Legal Bureau and BPKAD to collect data related to the dispute.
Several facts such as the ownership side of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government and the claimant from the City of Semarang have also been studied.
"Actually, it's not too difficult because the land can be traced continuously, then at BPN we will confirm the existing data. Hopefully it can be resolved," he said.
For information, the building assets used as the Sultan Student Dormitory owned by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government use a right of use claim issued in 2008, while the claimant from the City of Semarang uses the basis of a state land tenure certificate issued in 2013.
