JAKARTA - The Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan held a meeting with all levels of the Central Java regional government, Monday, October 12 yesterday. This meeting is a routine monitoring meeting to see trends in COVID-19 cases that have occurred in several regions in Central Java.

In this meeting the Coordinating Minister for Luhut stated that, there was an increase in weekly confirmed cases in Central Java Province, but on the other hand there was also a trend of decreasing mortality cases or deaths.

"There is a serious problem in Central Java. In the last 7 days, Central Java Province still has an increasing increase in COVID-19 cases, but mortality is low. If the data for the last 7 days is compared to the previous weeks, Central Java province still has a trend of weekly cases which is However, on the other hand, weekly mortality cases in Central Java have a downward trend since mid-September, "said Coordinating Minister Luhut in a written statement, Tuesday, October 13.

Coordinating Minister Luhut also said that the recovery rate of Central Java Province was still below the national recovery rate of 76.5 percent. Even so, during mid-September until now, the recovery rate in Central Java experienced good news in the form of an increase from 65 percent to 71 percent on October 11, 2020.

Even though the recovery rate is getting better as of October 2020, Coordinating Minister Luhut also reminded him to continue to control the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) in the ICU of Central Java Province, because there was an increase of several percent in October.

"The recovery rate in Central Java has indeed decreased and this needs to be maintained by all of us, but don't forget to also look at the BOR in Central Java. This also needs to be watched out for, because it has been 65.1 percent since mid-September, the BOR level for ICU Central Java has always been was below 60 percent. But as of October 11, the BOR rate for ICU Central Java rose to 65 percent, "explained Luhut.

According to him, all ranks need to pay attention to this, starting from health workers, hospitals, to the Regional Police and the Central Java Military Command, considering that confirmation cases are still emerging.

Active confirmation cases that occurred were in several districts and cities that still had the highest active cases, namely Semarang City, Semarang Regency, Pati, Kudus, Kebumen, Wonosobo, Brebes, and Sukoharjo.

Even so, the weekly trend shows that the number of cases in Semarang City has shown a more positive trend, but for other areas such as Semarang, Kebumen, Wonosobo, Brebes, and Sukoharjo regencies in the last few weeks, the number of cases has continued to increase. Coordinating Minister Luhut in the end reminded all levels to continue to coordinate between the government in each region and local officials.

"Please, from this data, the regents must be vigilant. Semarang City has 9,648 confirmed active confirmed cases, then there are 644 deaths. The highest is in Semarang City. The cities of Semarang and Pati have experienced a downward trend. Even so for areas like Kebumen. , Wonosobo, Brebes, and Sukoharjo also had a significant increase in confirmation cases. For some of these regions, please every regent to continue to pay attention to this figure and coordinate with all parties to reduce the number of active confirmations in this area, "said Luhut.

Luhut ordered local governments such as governors and regents to strengthen cooperation with officials at the Polda and Pangdam levels, Polres, as well as local Polsek.
