COVID-19 Update As Of May 9: New Cases 254, Active Cases 6,078
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 204,338 specimens were examined with the results of 254 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,048,685 people and active cases have fallen by 114 to 6,078 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, May 9.
Today's recovered cases increased by 353 cases, bringing the total to 5,886,211 recovered people. Then, there were 15 positive confirmed deaths and a total of 156,396 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 102 cases and a total of 1,248,422 cases. Followed by West Java with 31 new cases with a total of 1,105,669 cases. Banten has 30 new cases and a total of 292,557 cases. Then, Central Java with 17 new cases and a total of 627,206 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 166 recovered cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 38 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 36 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 35 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 96,426,056.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.38 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,615 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 199,346,528 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 165,656,106 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 41,028,913. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
