Minister Of Administrative And Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo Agrees With The National Police Chief's Proposal On WFH Anticipating Backflow Congestion

JAKARTA - The Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo approved the proposal of the Chief of the National Police, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo to implement a work from home or WFH system for ASN to unravel the backflow congestion for Eid 2022.

Quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 7, Menpan RB suggested that all government agencies set a work from home (WFH) schedule for all state civil servants (ASN) for a week starting next Monday.

"I agree with the opinion of the National Police Chief that government agencies implement the WFH policy. All PPKs (Employee Guidance Officers) are expected to regulate the distribution of schedules so that government administration and services to the community continue to run," said Tjahjo.

The implementation of the WFH, he continued, would not interfere with administrative matters and other government services, because now there has been the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) which allows ASN to work flexibly by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT).

In addition, added Tjahjo, the application of WFH for a week after the 2022 Eid leave can also be applied as an effort to self-isolate (isoman) for ASN after meeting their families from their hometowns.

"WFH is also an opportunity for isomans to prevent additional COVID-19 cases," he said.

Previously, Listyo Sigit Prabowo proposed that government and private agencies implement the WFH policy for a week after the end of the 2022 Eid holiday.

"We also appeal to parse the backflow, especially for agencies, both private and government, which allow for this week to carry out activities using existing media, such as online or work from home," Listyo said at Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Badung Regency, Bali, Thursday, May 5.
