While On Lebaran Homecoming, A Bogor Resident Man Drowns In The Ogan River, OKU Regency, South Sumatra
JAKARTA - Victim Indra Septiawan (39), a resident of Bogor City, West Java Province, drowned in the Ogan River while going home to his wife Robiah (37), in Singapore Village, Semidang Aji District, OKU Regency, South Sumatra.
Information in the field stated that the victim experienced the accident while bathing in the Ogan River, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency with her relatives in Singapore Village, Thursday at 12.30 WIB.
"At that time the victim intended to save the life of his nephew, Jonathan, who was dragged by the current of the Ogan River. But unfortunately, the victim drowned and died," said the victim's wife, Robiah in Baturaja, the capital city of OKU Regency, as quoted by Antara, Thursday.
Robiah admitted that the wish to return to his hometown for Eid was of the victim's own volition.

While taking a bath together in the Ogan River, which at that time was high tide, suddenly his 17-year-old son, Dimas, was swept away by the current and the victim tried to help him.
"But it was my husband who drowned until he was found dead," he said.
The head of the OKU Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Amzar Kristopa separately said that the victim was found not far from the location where he first drowned.
