BRI's ability to increase the proportion of low-cost funds has a positive impact on the company's more efficient business.
"As part of the Liability Structure Transformation, BRI will continue to encourage an increase in the proportion of CASA to support a sustainable business, including through transaction-based products and services in the wholesale segment as well as strengthening features and financial transactions through BRImo," added Sunarso.
Sunarso added that BRI's ability to channel credit and financing was also supported by adequate liquidity and strong capital. This can be seen from the consolidated LDR of banks which was recorded at 86.96 percent, with a CAR of 24.61 percent.
Not only that, he continued, BRI was also able to record an efficiency ratio that continued to improve, where BRI's BOPO at the end of March 2022 was recorded at 69.34 percent or lower than the BOPO for the same period last year of 78.41 percent.
"The decline in BOPO cannot be separated from the spirit of efficiency carried out by BRI, including through the success of digital transformation, the improvement in the ratio of non-performing loans, and the increasing proportion of CASA or low-cost funds in the company's body," he said.
With this positive achievement, SUnarso is optimistic that this year's performance will be able to exceed the performance before the pandemic, and can maintain the sustainability of future performance.
