17 Corruption Prisoners In Lampung Get Remissions For Eid Al-Fitr 1443 H, 28 People Have Not Meet The Requirements
JAKARTA - Head of the Corrections Division (Kadispas) of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kanwil Kemenkumham) Lampung Farid Djunaedi said there were as many as 17 residents who were fostered for criminal acts of corruption who received remissions for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah/2022.
"There are 17 residents of corruption cases at the Correctional Units throughout Lampung who have received remissions. However, it is temporary in nature, the proposals are likely to increase later," he said in Bandarlampung, Sunday, April 25.
He continued that the 17 inmates of the corruption case who received remissions included eight residents of Class I Penitentiary (Lapas) Bandarlampung, one resident of Class IIA Metro Lapas, four inmates of Class IIA Kalianda Lapas, two residents of Class IIB Gunung Sugih prison, and two residents of the Class IIB Kotabumi detention center.
Meanwhile, the amount of remission obtained by the inmates includes one month for the inmates of the Class I Bandarlampung prison, 15 days for the inmates of the Metro Lapas, one for the non and 15 days for the inmates of the Kalianda prison, 15 for the inmates of the Gunung Sugih prison, and one month for the inmates of the Kotabumi prison.
"Those who get this remission are from year 1, 2, and 3 remissions," he said.
Farid added that 28 people who were incarcerated in cases of other corruption cases who did not receive a remission for Eid al-Fitr in 2022.
Among them are four residents of the Kota Agung Prison, two residents of the Kalianda Lapas, four residents of the Gunung Sugih Prison, five residents of the Kota Agung Prison, four residents of the Krui Rutan Detention Center, three residents of the Kotabumi Detention Center, five residents of the Bandarapung Rutan, and one resident of the Menggala Prison.
"Those who don't get remissions are because there are those who haven't paid the fine, paid the replacement money, and are undergoing subsidiary punishments," he said.
